Acupuncture and Pain management
Acupuncture translates as "sticking with a needle". Special needles are used to pierce several points on the body in order to stimulate specific nerves in a targeted manner. The stimulus on these precisely defined points triggers a positive effect and alleviates internal disturbances. Acupuncture is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, so acupuncture is one of the oldest and most widely used healing methods in the world.
In acupuncture, about 400 acupuncture points are known. These points are all on channels, the so-called meridians. Piercing the needles also affects the flow of life energy. The two great forces in the body that influence each other as opposing poles are referred to as yin and yang. They try to keep the life energy the "Chí" in balance. If, on the other hand, there is an imbalance, this can trigger diseases and complaints.
This balance can be restored by stimulating various acupuncture points.
An acupuncture session lasts around 25-30 minutes. You sit or lie completely relaxed.
With the special Tung acupuncture, only 2-4 needles are set. It is almost pain-free and there are no side effects.
